How we use your information
Our website address is http://www.carolyngibbsquilts.co.uk
Contact details are available on our Terms & Conditions page.
This site collects information on you in two ways.
- The information that you manually provide us by leaving a comment, filling out our contact form, signing up for our newsletter or making a purchase. Information such as your name, email address and payment method is used to process payments, directly provide the download pattern that you have purchased, and to be able to resolve any problems which may arise related to the purchase. This information can be tied directly to you because of the information you’ve provided.
- The information that’s automatically collected via third-party partners included on this site in order to allow us to give and deliver content the most relevant content to you. The types of information collected here include things like your IP address, location, pages visited, and browser type. Generally, our third-party partners only give us this information in the aggregate (e.g. it’s not identifiable to you) but sometimes this information can be directly tied to you (e.g. to show you products you’ve recently viewed, or if you signed up for our newsletter).
Most of this information is only used in the aggregate to create a profile of our readers and the types of content that you, as our readers, most identify with.
The only data used by Carolyn Gibbs Quilts for direct marketing purposes is that provided by Newsletter subscribers who have specifically given their consent to this, under the terms of the General Data Protection Regulations. When a subscriber chooses to unsubscribe, their data is deleted within one month.
Data collected will never be sold on to any commercial company for marketing purposes. It is only shared with others if required by our terms of service/agreement with those parties, or if we are legally required to by law.
If you would like to know what information we have that’s directly attributable to you, please contact us and we will provide a response within 14-days. If you ask for specific data relating to you to be erased, it will be done within 14 days.
We use a recognised shopping cart service: WooCommerce to process your information securely. Payments can be made by credit card or by PayPal, and are processed by Braintree, a PayPal service, who process the payments using a secure server. Braintree is a validated Level 1 PCI DSS compliant service provider. All of these companies are GDPR compliant.
