Free pattern for a 15″ original block designed by Carolyn Gibbs.
The inspiration came from the blocks such as “Road to California” which have “pathways” of the small four square units across them.
Wanting to design a five patch block which included the same unit, Carolyn decided that the name “Roundabout” seemed to express a suitably modern update to the traveling theme.
This easy block is a good introduction to quick-piecing techniques.
The instructions include lots of helpful Hints and Tips to get a really good result.
Choose any five different fabrics of different value (Very Dark, Dark, Medium, Medium Pale, Light) from your stash to try out this block
Suitable for a beginner or improver.
